I made this work in Stuttgart and that is where the title comes from. I worked with acid on the stone to achieve more or less regular semicircular holes on its surface. After a while it started to resemble a larger slice of Emmental cheese. The film shows in a relatively convincing way the absolutely fictitious process of making cheese.
