The fundamental problem that I tackled creating this iron work was how it was possible to create an organic form in a completely industrial environment (the artists' colony for steel sculptors in Kecskemét), with completely industrial tools and methods (including hammering and welding). Log comprises three parts, and resembles a sawn-up tree trunk (the roughly polished surfaces of the “sawn” log attempt to imitate the tree rings visible on a tree trunk.
