In 2008 the Little Warsaw group accepted the Munkácsy Prize from Minister of Education and Culture István Hiller. I created a memorial to this event in the monumental Socialist-Realist vein by carving it into a wall of breezeblocks. Little Warsaw often used Socialist-Realist elements in its works, but at the same time I wished to formulate a criticism of institutions. The contrast between the crumbling transience of the industrial material and the monumental and timeless style of the memorial is the central concern here.
